Police were called to the home on Forest Hills Avenue in north Arlington after Webb, 25, broke into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment around 11:10 p.m.
After being shot, the 29-year-old victim climbed out of the back window with another woman and two children and managed to escape the home, police said. However, Weber forced his ex-girlfriend into his car and drove away.
Authorities found Weber and his ex-girlfriend through surveillance cameras after witnesses described the type of car he fled in. After they were discovered in Fort Worth, Webb was arrested quickly without incident and his gun was recovered. Police added that Weber allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend in the car, causing injuries to her face. However, she escaped largely unscathed.

It’s unclear how long the former couple dated or how long ago they broke up. It is unknown when the ex-girlfriend moved to Texas. Police did confirm, however, that the suspect was from Mississippi. Authorities also revealed that he most recently lived in a Fort Worth apartment complex before his arrest.

He was charged with one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury, one count of stalking, one count of unauthorized use of a vehicle, one count of aggravated kidnapping, three counts of deadly conduct, one count of aggravated assault domestic violence and one count of residential burglary with intent to assault, according to police.
The injured man shot by Webber was taken to a hospital for treatment and is not expected to die, police added.
The victim’s name has not been released. It’s unclear how the other woman and two children met Weber’s ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend.
