Samsung plans to bring Google Photos to its TVs in 2026

For years, in order to enjoy their photos or videos on the big screen, Google Photos users had to cast their photos to their Android TVs, or disable the app to use them. The app is now getting Samsung TVs: The Korean giant said on Monday that it plans to bring Google Photos to its TVs in 2026.

The company said the first version of the Google Photos integration will show photos and videos saved through Memories, which will be Samsung’s only for six months. The company said users will need to sign in to their Google account for photos and videos to appear on its TV.

Samsung also said it plans to add support for AI-powered products like Nano Banana– powerful templates, creating and editing imagesand Remix modewhich allows you to change an existing image to a different color.

We’re excited to bring Google Photos to Samsung TVs – helping people enjoy their favorite photos on the big screen and reconnect with their memories in new ways,” said Shimrit Ben-Yair, vice president, Google Photos and Google One, in a statement.
