Bachelor alum Kit Keenan Provides “some background” on how she bought an apartment in New York City without her fashion designer mom Cynthia Rowleyhelp.
“I grew up with tremendous privilege and a very supportive family,” Keenan, 26, said in a statement. Tik Tok Video shared on Friday, December 26th. “My mom didn’t buy the apartment. But she did let me live in the home until I was 26.”
Keenan briefly appeared in Matt James‘ season Bachelor In 2021, she revealed through social media earlier this month that she purchased a luxury home in New York.
According to Keenan, she had been “actively saving money” while living under her roof in Raleigh.
“She also introduced me to my accountant and financial advisory team when I was getting my first paycheck at 18,” the influencer explains. “She led by example and showed me the importance of financial independence as a woman and why investing in real estate is important.”
Raleigh, 67, shares Kit with ex-husband William Keenan Jr., There is also a 20-year-old daughter Gigi and her current husband, William Bowles. As for her career, Rowley launched her namesake fashion brand in 1988, which eventually became a global success. She has also written several books and co-hosts her “Ageless” podcast with Kit.
“(My mom’s) career and notoriety have gave me so much access. “I definitely took advantage of it on my social media,” Jeter admitted Friday. “It also led to my being on a reality TV show at the age of 21, which introduced me to an audience far beyond my original niche.”

While Kitt used her privilege to win praise online, she stressed that Rowley “didn’t co-sign (her) loan or pay (her) down payment or pay (her) mortgage at all.”
“I think it’s safe to say I’m proud to have done this,” Jeter said. “I’ll be honest and say that I wanted to share this partly because of my own ego, but I also wanted to write this conversation because this is truly my dream job.”
According to Kit, As a content creator “Creating opportunities far beyond (her) wildest dreams.”
“I’ve also seen it create stability and independence for many of my peers,” she noted. “If you’ve been curious about creating content and embarrassment is holding you back, I want you to know that it’s been more than worth it to me and has meant more than I expected.”
Kit closed on the property on Tuesday, December 23rd.
“Today is a very exciting day as I am closing on my apartment,” she said in a statement. Instagram video. “I was nervous, and while I was excited, I also felt like it was beyond my capabilities. How did I do it? How did I get to this point? It’s taken so long and saved so many years.”
Kit did bring her mom along to sign the book, and she has since been ecstatic about her residential milestone.
