BBC visits Myanmar polling station as civil war rages on


BBC News Southeast Asia correspondent Jonathan Head visited a polling station in Myanmar as the country votes in an election widely described as a “sham”.

Nearly five years after the military seized power in a coup, the main political parties have been dissolved and many of their leaders imprisoned.

This sparked widespread opposition, which escalated into an ongoing civil war.
