las vegas raiders stars Max Crosby There seemed to be dissatisfaction with the team’s decision to bench him for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.
With the No. 1 overall pick likely to play on Sunday, Dec. 28, the Raiders announced Friday that Crosby will not play due to injury.
According to a Fox Sports NFL reporter Jay Glazercrosby “Strongly disagree” After hearing the news, he had this idea and left the training ground.
The Raiders reportedly want to shut down Crosby in the team’s final two games of the season.
The star defensive end has been hampered by a knee injury since Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs but has yet to miss a game this season.
Raiders head coach Pete Carroll confirmed that Crosby left the facility after the news broke and said the two spoke four times on Friday.
“He knew he was hurt, so he said, ‘I want to get out of here.'” I said, ‘Yeah, get out of here.’ So he took off,” Carroll said in a video. Vegas Sports Today. “This doesn’t just happen to him. We talk about it all the time and it’s exactly what you think he would do and what he should do. I agree 1,000 percent with the way he responded and I (would) respond the same way.”

Crosby didn’t practice at all this week.
“He didn’t want to take the news,” Carroll said. “I don’t want to take the news. So we’re just trying to do it. He’s been training on Friday. If we let him, he’ll be there, he won’t hesitate, but he knows he’s injured.”
Earlier this week, Crosby told the media that landing the No. 1 pick was not his top priority.
“I’m not commenting on this pick,” Crosby said. “That’s not what I play for.”
He continued: “My job is to be the best defensive end in the world, and that’s what I focus on every day, being a great leader and making an impact. That’s (the front office’s) job. But it has nothing to do with me.”
In addition to Crosby being unavailable for the game, Raiders star tight end Brock Bowles will also be out, who was placed on injured reserve earlier this week.
Crosby also was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury, the team announced Saturday, ending the defensive end’s season.
The Raiders and Giants are both 2-13 this season. The Giants currently hold the tiebreaker for the No. 1 pick in this year’s NFL Draft, but if the Raiders lose to the Giants on Sunday, Las Vegas will move beyond that coveted spot.
Holding the No. 1 pick gives the Raiders a chance to rebuild the roster and develop the team’s future.
