ChatGPT introduces a year-end review like Spotify Wrapped

ChatGPT is releasing its own version of Spotify Wrapped. That is, the chatbot powered by OpenAI is now offering an annual review called “Your Year with ChatGPT” to eligible consumers in select markets, including the United States.

Other English-speaking markets with access to this new feature include Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand.

At launch, the feature will be offered to those with Free, Premium, and Pro plans who have “saved memories” and “historical chat history” enabled and will experience a limited chat session, the company told TechCrunch via email.

Team, Enterprise, or Education accounts cannot use the “Your Year with ChatGPT” feature. Additionally, the experience should be “lightweight, private, and user-driven,” the company said.

Like other annual reviews offered by consumer programs, “Your Year with ChatGPT” is inspired by the end-of-the-year look, Spotify Wrapped. Like Spotify’s feature, OpenAI uses interesting graphics and transforms the user experience to offer “rewards” based on how much you’ve used ChatGPT throughout the year.

For example, you can be awarded the “Creative Debugger” award if you use a chatbot to find solutions to a problem or implement an idea or concept.

This app also creates a poem and picture of your year based on your favorite topics. (We wonder what this will look like next year ChatGPT integrates with adults in 2026.)

Although the expiration date is displayed on the home page of the ChatGPT app, it is not forced on users or activated automatically.

It will be available on the ChatGPT web app and mobile apps for iOS and Android, the company says.

You can also request ChatGPT directly “Your Year with ChatGPT” to activate.
