90 Day’s Elizabeth Castravit’s Father Chuck Pottast’s Cause of Death Revealed


According to reports, the cause of death has been announced 90 day fiancé Star Elizabeth “Libby” Castravit‘s father, Chuck Pottast.

The Hillsborough County, Florida, medical examiner’s autopsy report stated that Portast died at the age of 64 from blunt force injuries to his face and neck after falling into a bathtub. TMZ Friday, February 13th. His injuries reportedly included facial lacerations and a fractured C6 vertebrae. Additionally, the report listed positional asphyxia as a factor, the outlet reported.

Medical examiners reportedly listed chronic alcohol consumption, cirrhosis of the liver and acute alcoholism as contributing causes.

“Two weeks ago, tragedy struck our family and left us completely devastated,” she wrote. “My sweet, loving and caring dad has gone to heaven. We are trying to figure out how to navigate our lives and move forward without him. Please respect our privacy during this extremely difficult time.”

“God didn’t save my life to see my family broken like this,” he once told Elizabeth, and encouraged his family to repair their relationship in therapy.

Additionally, in a September 2025 update shared on social media, Chuck stated that he underwent a lengthy surgery.

“My surgery was supposed to last about three to four hours to repair a hernia from my previous cancer surgery,” he explained. “Once they got in, they discovered that my stomach wall had completely collapsed, so they had to fix that, which they did.”

Chuck said his surgery ended up lasting eight hours.

“The good thing is I have a flat stomach now, which is cool,” he joked before concluding, “I want to thank everyone for their prayers and support. It’s really helped me get through this.”
